I Am An Aspiring World Changer.

I’m an average teenager with abnormal dreams and ambitions.  I’m a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, and I hope that all I do and say honors Him.  Sadly, I’m human, and I often fail there.

I want to be a friend to the friendless, and I want to show Christ’s light through the darkness.  I want this blog to be a ray of sunshine and laughter in your day.  I want to be the girl people like because they see the everlasting love of Christ through me.  That’s who I want to be.

I wish to be a fountain, and not a drain, though I have to work on it.  I hope that this blog will be a place of laughter, deep thought, and joy to all who stumble across it.

Sadly, I’m a sinner, and I’m the first to admit it.  I’m not who I want to be, but with the help of my Lord and Savior, I’ll get there.

I have lots of hobbies, and photography, horses, laughing, broadway, and art are just a few.  I’m an author of a poetry compilation, Fifteen.  I spend a lot of time with my musical instruments, and I hope someday to write songs and a broadway play of my own.

I’m a writer. My dream is to change the world by the words I create, the stories that bleed from my fingertips. I’ve jumped for a million different genres, including writing and illustrating a poetry book.

I’m a bookworm.  That’s putting my case mildly.  As Charlie Tremendous Jones once said,

You will be the same person in five years from now that you are today except for the people you meet, and the books you read.

Maybe that’s why I enjoy making new friends.   I’m an introvert who gets overwhelmed in crowds, but loves meeting people and hearing their stories.  Even the most boring person has a unique story, and they’re worth your time.

I’m labeled busy, but I simply enjoy life to the fullest.  Between singing, talking, and sitting quietly, I’m known as a witty person that sometimes owns a cutting tongue.

I’m a chronic coffee and tea drinker, and sparkling water makes the day so much brighter.

I’m a homeschool graduate who spends my day working at a bubble tea shop, running my own business (Painted Prose Designs is custom handprinted cover and book merch! Check it out here), and perfecting my writing with the help of my instructors at the Author Conservatory.

When you comment, please remember to keep it keep it kind to both man and God.  I love your comments, and your opinions, but still…Keep it clean, please!

I pronounce it Amie, like Amy only with an ‘ie’ for originality 😉 My parents don’t care for common names. I’ve never heard it be pronounced “ay-mee”.

    Hello Amie!

I just now happened to find your blog, and must I say, you have an amazing gift for writing! Your theme is very lovely, and we are alike in so many ways, according to your list! 🙂

And hey, if you ever find your way into Narnia, may I tag along? Hehe!

    Hey, Amie!

Just visited your blog today! I really like your list, it’s so creative! I like your sense of humor too, when you said to go back to ‘point five’ I actually did, cause you made me curious! XD I play the piano too, and love, love it! Music is a must! Horses are such beautiful creatures. I don’t really ride, but I appreciate them for the wild lovely creatures they are! I’m looking forward to reading more of your writing. 🙂

Haha! My humor gets me into lots of scrapes, but it does get me a few friends 😉 AWE! MUSC IS TOTALLY A MUST! I actually go crazy about it. Yes! Horses are pretty far away and close up…unless they throw you.
Well, I’m looking forward to my writing being seen!

Hi, Amie! I think I am going to really enjoy following your blog. 🙂 I was homeschooled (but am now slowly working on a college degree) and am a believer. Oh yeah, if you do find a way to Narnia or Middle Earth, let me know the way asap!

Howdy, Maddie! I’m so glad you think you will! It’s always nice to know people enjoy what you do! I hope your college degree speeds up! What are you studying for?
As I’ve said before, I’d be more than happy to show folks the way to Narnia, only I’m not quite sure I’ll want to come back.

I am sort of working on a nursing degree. It has some hard course though! I certainly would not blame you for not leaving Narnia if you did get there. 🙂 But I suppose I’d be told I was too old any way.

      2. Amie says:

Cool! Why did you chose nursing, may I ask? I think in the real Narnia, no one is too old. Wouldn’t that be horrid if they were? But, if you have a heart and faith of a child, I’m sure you wouldn’t be turned away. 🙂

I’m not sure why, actually. I actually don’t enjoy studying anatomy like I thought I would. So, I might choose a different career to peruse. 😉

Oh, I do hope so! I guess I was just thinking a little too much like Puddleglum. 😉

      4. Amie says:

Really? I’m pretty into anatomy, but I’m pretty sure I’m not going to be a nurse.

Oh, I like Puddleglum! “I’m for Aslan even if there isn’t any Aslan to be for!” I always mentally cheer when he says that.

    Hi Amie!
    I’m 16 and come from a family of 7 children. I’m the 3rd born.
I found out by reading about you that we have a lot in common!
I really enjoy reading all about you and your craziness!
I found your blog in an odd way, but I was on Allison Bontrager’s blog reading her latest post and I was looking at the comments. Then I saw the one by you and I loved your profile of yourself because it reminded me of myself because I play guitar and had been wanting to get a picture of me with my guitar just like you did! Anyway, I ended up on your blog and I’m glad I did!

Hello Lydia! I love the story of how you found me! I enjoy Allison Bontrager’s blog so much. In fact, I enjoy the Bontrager’s music so much! But, I’m glad you liked my picture. I enjoy playing guitar, but not as much as piano or violin. I’m glad you enjoy my craziness!

Heyyyy, nice to meet you, Amie! I’m a slightly insane food nerd, photographer, bookworm, and doll enthusiast, along with a host of other things. I’m homeschooled as well, and I totally get you there on the trivia. The weird things I know…anyway, your blog is lovely and I can’t wait to see more!

Wow Amie, I LOVE your new About page! I randomly looked at it to see if you’d changed anything, and it is SO AWESOME! Boring About pages are a pet peeve of mine, but yours certainly makes the “good” list. 😉

Ahhhh, I see. That makes a lot of sense. XD I want to get a doll blog and maybe a devotional blog (I might do devotionals on the Standing Firm in My Faith site, though). I have a writing blog, but we shut off the hosting because BlueHost is more like PooHost. XD We plan to fix it here soon, though.

    Hello!
I’ve asked you a few questions about music/instruments before on your other blog, but could you tell me what violin brand you use? I’ve been looking at many, but I prefer to know what ones people personally have. Thanks!
