Exciting announcement!

Image 12-6-18 at 1.30 PM

Yes, I’m so excited!  First up, we have a winner for Amie Quote of the Year!  I was really excited, because the winning quote was my top pick out of all those nominated.  Are you ready for the reveal?

Wow, I say some profound things sometimes, don’t I?  Well, I think it looks pretty nice, just a bit crowded.  That was a longer quote!  Now, my second exciting announcement has been something that I’ve been thinking about a lot.

I’m starting a newsletter by email!  Now, if you sign up for the newsletter, you’ll get a lot of perks, like peaking into my writing life, snip-its of my work in progress, first looks at covers, and being the first people to be told about beta-reading, publishing, and blog tours.

Not only will you get all that fun stuff, you’ll get an inside peak at my pets’ life, my writing habits, and what I’ve been reading, watching, and thinking about.  (And you get to be called my Newsies.)

So, it’s mostly a newsletter about writing, pets, and me!  How could it get any better?  The first email will be sent out Monday (2/4/19), and so hurry to sign up so you don’t miss any of it!  My first “issue” will be full of interesting surprises.

Also, share with your friends!  When I get 100 subscribers to my email list, there’ll be a giveaway!

*Feels like putting a gif in here* *decides against it*

For you practical people out there that want to know if I’ll annoy you, and appear in your inbox every day, I promise not to.  I’ll only appear once a week at the most, and once a month at the least.  I don’t have an extremely clear idea of how much I’ll appear, but enough to inform you of the news, and not to bug you.

So, ready to sign up? Sign up here, since the embedded form wasn’t working.

Yay!  I cannot wait to see you in your inbox!

News Break

Today I’m here with myself, who happens to be Amie.  We decided to have this news break in order to surprise all our faithful followers with something they won’t be surprised about.  Are you ready?

I’m writing another book!

Photo on 1-30-18 at 11.52 AM

Oh yeah!  It’s currently under construction.  Are you ready to learn about it?  Of course you are!  So, the title is not available yet, and I’m not sure you want to hear about it anyway.

I really shouldn’t be writing another story, at least not this one.  Why?  Because I have two sequels begging to be written!  But, I had this one all planned out while the sequels looked like this…

They get back.  Find king???  Missing Queen.  Prince??? IDK, perhaps he’s dead?  And what about Gil??? They have to meet him….Duh!  The fight with dragon….What???

Tour Germany???  Okay, and maybe they should meet college student? What should she be named???  Okay, obviously — knows German.  Wait, does that mean I have to study German???  Okay, and parent’s get kidnapped.  Poor kids.  What about —?  He should get kidnapped too.  Um, what about —?  IDK, perhaps they die!!

So, you see why I started this book.  Here’s the planning for it.

Character’s names and ages.

Character’s pets.

Chap. one.  Have a funny introduction (spoiler alert!). Meet up with Dad’s old friend and learn about the characters.

Voila!  I will be announcing more as I go into it…but can you believe it?  I already have 4, 692 words done.  Boom.  That’s just amazing.

On to the next thing.  All you amazing fans that really enjoyed Snow Nightmare definitely have to check out this post here.  Don’t worry, this post won’t bite.

And lastly, check out this amazing interview of me!  Thank you so much, Buttercup, for posting it!

The updated LLIL list!

Hello folks!  It’s snowing today outside and on my blog!  Check out the little wittle snowflakes!  Aren’t day cute?  Okay, back to serious mood.  Here is the list without further delay.

Amie (again xD)

Yep!  I’m going to start and finish.  And now you’re dying to know when the first part will be posted, right?  Well….

On January first!

Yep!  New Year’s day!  A great way to start 2018.  Can anyone believe it’s almost 2018? :0  I don’t know that I can.  But regardless, on that day you can all sit around and watch for the most amazing story.

As you all know, I have the rules and stuff but that isn’t important.  I just want you to remember…

A. You have to write 1,000 words or more.

B. You have two weeks to do that.  No more.  If it’s late, you’ll get thousands of emails from yours truly.

C. I don’t remember what C was about now.  I think I’m having a momentary brain freeze.  Some one needs to help me.  Um…..

Okay!  So, ignore C but make sure you note A and B.  Those are really important.

Yes!! It’s snowing here.  Isn’t it exciting?  I just hope we have enough to take pictures of.  Snow is so photogenic, at least on the first day.

From the cold south,

Lovely Links in Literature

Hey!  It’s finally Tuesday.  I know you’ve all been up just wondering who the characters of LLIL are.  No?  You were just patiently waiting?  Oh.  Then never mind.  I’ll just go on with the post whether you were waiting for it or not.IMG_6186

Today I promised to introduce the main characters but first I’m going to clarify a few things.  I know, you have to wait longer.  Actually, you have my permission to go read the characters first if you come back and read this.

Okay, #1 is…The chapter length.  I’m not even really sure about this myself but since you’re only doing one chapter, you should be full of ideas that are about to burst.  I would like each chapter to be at least 1,000 words.  What?  Why are you guys gaping?

#2 is a question of how you are supposed to know it’s your turn.  I’ll give you an email (It just so happens I have all your emails) or message you if you have a blog.  Regardless, you do not have to worry about it.  I’ve got it under my belt.

#3 is how long do you have to write it?  Well, two weeks.  You have two weeks and if it takes you longer you will —-.  If it takes you longer, you can just contact me and I totally understand.

#4.  I’m going to make sure every one knows that there is to be NO romance or fantasy.  This is to be a fun and cute story (fantasy is fun and cute but…) not full of romancey disgustingness.

#5.  You are allowed to introduce other characters.  Guys, this is your story as much as mine.  I’m just the coordinator who gives you ideas.  I want this, when you read it, to be something we are all proud of.  Something we can all say, “This is our story.”  I don’t want you to say, “This is Amie’s story I just happened to help with.”

And that is all!  Oh, wait.  I forgot one.  Wait a moment…

#6.  You are allowed to use Scratch, Word, Pages… the list goes on… if you notify me before you use it.  It’s going to be awesome whatever form you use (or even if you post it on your blog) but I need to know what you are using.  I mean, if you’re a blogger, I’m going to assume you’re using your blog.IMG_6187

And now that is officially all the clarifications.  I’ll place the list so far and the rules at the very bottom of this list.  Now, all who did not skip, I’m giving you a high-five!  I’m proud of y’all.  Anyhow, now to the characters.

Kyrie Noel Brink

Kyrie is a lonely orphan that lives with her old grandmother and prim and proper aunt.  She’s never had any adventures worth recounting (there is that time she was in the middle of a food fight…) but that soon changes.

She enjoys mostly books, shopping, and getting good grades.  She’s good-humored and doesn’t often get ruffled.  Her main fear is displeasing her aunt, who is very strict.  She isn’t one to say she won’t do something and just goes with the flow.

She’s fourteen with blonde long hair, green eyes, and a rather sour look.  She’s just used to sitting still and doing nothing.

Christian Alexander Worth

Christian, or Alec as he’s known, is the oldest of the Worth quartet.   He is the leader of the escapades and hasn’t seemed to grow up.  He lives next door to Kyrie with his family.

Alec enjoys sports but his favorite is track.  He is a born runner.  He’s the one that goes sniffing around for adventure and dashing into it recklessly.

He’s seventeen and considers himself a man. (Much to Jill’s annoyance!) He has red hair, freckles, and blue eyes.

Jill Morgan Worth

Jill is the oldest daughter and probably the most responsible.  She is as much of a leader as her brother, so they often butt heads.  She sometimes worry about the thoughts of her peers, but mostly she’s as eager for adventure as all her siblings.

Jill tends to be on the bossy side, with a bit of caution mixed in.  She enjoys music, photography, and fashion.  She likes her camera so much, that her brother’s have titled it her “BCF”  or otherwise known as best camera forever.

Jill is fifteen with darker hair, light eyes, and freckles.

Edmund Timothy Worth

Ed was named after his mother’s favorite book series. (*sighs in happiness*  Guys, I want to name my kid Edmund!)  Ed is always prepared, carrying around what Alec kindly refers to as his ‘man purse’.  (Two of the articles in the purse are a knife and flashlight.)

Edmund is the witty one of the family; every ready for a quick come back.  He tends to be a bit of a sass king but at heart is brave and full of determination.  He isn’t as athletic as Alec, but he still enjoys outdoor activity.

Ed has dark hair like his older sister and blue eyes.  He’s fourteen, but according to Jill acts younger.

Philadelphia Elise Worth

Phil often wishes she had a nicer name.  NO ONE is named Philadelphia or Elise, but it turns out Philadelphia is where her parents met.  She’s the youngest Worth and often feels neglected or slighted.  She hardly ever finds her voice listened to.

She enjoys animals of any kind.  She has her own bunny and they have a family dog.  She also really likes any boyish sport, especially baseball.  She is ever ready for a tumble in the mud or a fist fight, evidence of her temper.  She’s outgoing and kind, nonetheless.

Phil has red hair and green eyes with freckles.  She’s eleven and often complains eleven is old enough to be treated like a grown-up.

So, how did you like them?  Are they worth writing a story about? (Lol, are the Worth’s worth writing about?  Wait, I only thought that was funny?  Never mind.)  Which one is most like you?  Which one do you think you’d like writing for the best?

IMG_6186Okay, here’s the list of who’s writing so far.  Remember, if you want to write, all you have to do is comment down below.  It’s easy and simple.  Also, you are allowed to take your name off the list until December 6th, three days after the signing up ends.

Okay, know for the rules (of course you all have memorized them!)

  2. There is to be no bad words (this is for all ages to read.)
  3. and lastly…I have the right to request you to change some of the content of your part of the story.

See, I only have a few rules.

IMG_6186Next Tuesday, I will be giving a rough idea and some prompts for you guys to look at and think about.  I know what I want this book to be, but it’s y’all’s book as much as mine, so I want you to add your own creative touch.

See ya!  Oh, and remember to comment 😉

Twenty- five Subscribers…Actually, Twenty-six!

Thank y’all!

You guys made this possible!  Therefore, I am going to thank you.  I know some of you told friends or just finally noticed a teeny blog called Crazy A.  So…thanks.  It means a lot to me.IMG_6186Now…for the announcement that you have been staying up late for…Okay, I’m going to make you all wait.

All right, here it is.  I’m starting a thingy called, “Lovely Links in Literature” or LLIL for short.  The idea is like a chain story.  I’ll start the story and then I’ll have a list of people to continue it.

Wait, I don’t have a list of people.  That’s right!  How could I forget?  This is YOUR chance to get involved.  All you passionate writers out there, come and sign up to this humble little challenge.

You have until December third to sign up.

Did you hear that?  Okay, I just want to make sure you heard.  I’ll be announcing the characters (there’s five…) next Tuesday.  Guys, this story is going to be amazing since you can join in!IMG_6187

IMG_6186And how are you going to send me the story?  Well, if you’re a blogger, just tag me when you publish your part of the story and comment on a later blog post. (I’ll tell you which one when the time comes!)

If you’re not a blogger, that’s totally fine.  This is still open to you!  You can just put your part on a word document and email it to me through the Contact Me thingy up there.

So…if you’re as excited as me, let me know!  I’m so happy to finally release my idea.  It’s been cooking for a while (As you can see here)  and I was about to burst when someone pointed out that I had twenty-five.  Since Saturday, I’ve gotten twenty-six. 😉

IMG_6187So…I can’t wait for next Tuesday!  I’m so glad my imaginary characters will soon take being.  It’s going to be so exciting!

Remember…you have until December third.  There’s no need to hurry. (That much…)

See y’all,

My very first…Q&A!

Hello guys!  Today is my very first Q&A and I’m very excited!  I was a little afraid you wouldn’t ask me any questions, but thankfully, you did! And for that I am very grateful.  I guess I should just get started.  Why wait any longer?  Okay, the first question is by…
And she asks…

What is your favorite blog to read?

Haha, I’ll be honest with that one.  I enjoy Allison’s or Kendra’s the most.  They are amazing bloggers and their topics are so interesting.  I wish mine were half as good 😉

Mandalynn’s other question is…

If you could go to any country where would you go?

Oh my, this is such a hard question!  I really don’t know why it’s so hard.  Um, I think I’d go to Germany or Austria first.  I guess I could always change my mind.  Am I only allowed to pick one country?

Thank you, Mandalynn, for your questions!IMG_6187

Amanda G. D.

What is one piece of advice you would like to give to bloggers?

Ah!  I’m the one that’s supposed to be asking this question.  I’ve barely been blogging, so I don’t have much advice…Okay, one thing piece of advice is to make sure your blog posts are fun.  Who wants to read a dry, boring blog post that doesn’t even have one jest?

Also, having a color scheme helps.  I’m working on my color scheme.  Can you guess what colors I’ve chosen?

Thank you, Amanda, for your question!  It was a very good one.

Pegusas Expert

 What’s your favorite horse breed?

Oh, that is so an Arabian.  I love their delicateness and their loyalty.  They also have a bunch of endurance, so I’m a huge fan.  I also like Thoroughbreds, Quarters, Morgans, and more.  I mean, if someone offered me a free horse, I wouldn’t turn it down just because it was a Clydesdale or a Quarter.

What’s your favorite thing about horses?

Ahh!!! How am I supposed to decide just one thing?  That’s so hard.  Well, I’ll just go ahead and say more then one.  I like the feel of the wind in your face as the horse gallops beneath you.  The sudden flying feeling of jumping (I’m not sure I like the landing though), and the funny faces they give you.  I like the smell and the sounds they make.  All in all, I like horses because they are horses.

Thanks, Pegusas Expert for the questions.  They were great! 😉

Olivia Bell

 What is your favorite animal?

Hah, I have so many it’s hard to decide.  Okay, it’s tied between cows and horses with dogs for a close second.  Horses would be first if I didn’t like beef so much.  Cows are nice dead or alive.

What is your favorite part about blogging?

What is my favorite part of blogging?  Hmm, I guess it’s either coming up with ideas or having you guys comment.  That’s always great.

What is your favorite craft?

That would be calligraphy or sewing.  I also like anything with felt.  If you’d like to see a felt leaf DIY, comment down below!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Okay, this question was already asked by Mandalynn, but I’ve had more time to consider.  I’d also REALLY like to go to Iceland and New Zealand, where they filmed ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and the Narnia movies.

Favorite ice cream flavor?

All my friends know it’s coffee.  I love anything coffee.  Coffee ice cream and coffee for dessert are SO good!  Aw, I’m wanting some right now.

Candy or chocolate?

Um, probably candy.  My favorite candy is Twizzlers, but Reese are a very close second.  Chocolate is not that bad though.

Thank you so much, Olivia!  Those were some very good questions.

IMG_6186Sam B.

How do you decide what to blog about?

Um, it’s pretty easy for me.  I mean, lots of people talk about blogging journals and all that, but I haven’t found the need.  I do have a list of ideas just in case I totally run out.  How do I actually decide?  An idea just pops in my head about what I’ve been doing or I’d like to read on my own blog if I was reading it.  I hope that make sense!

What’s your favorite Bible verse?

Oh, God’s Word is so full of precious promises!  It’s very hard to narrow it down to one.  I suppose Psalm 45:1 is probably my life verse, since it talks about writing 😉

Have you ever played at a recital?

Yes! I have. It was a very nice and fancy recital.

If so, were you scared?

Um, no, I wasn’t scared.  I don’t have stage fright at all, which is very nice for me.  In fact, I was extremely excited and wished to stay on stage a bit longer.

Thank you, Sam!  I liked those questions.

Now, for the announcement I’ve been waiting for!  I announced here that I’m writing a novel for National Novel Writing month.  The genre of my book is… (Drumroll, please!)

Action and Adventure/Mystery

I suppose it’s mostly mystery but it has a lot of action and adventure in it.  I’m up to 5,022 words now, so that’s 44,978 more words to go! I’m very excited about it! xD

Thank you for reading this post and I’m off to enjoy my Saturday!

Today we went to a beautiful lake to fish.  I enjoy fishing, in theory, but nobody’s ever taken the time to teach me.  I know two things that might help if other people weren’t around.  Number one, you HAVE to be quiet which my siblings never are.  Number two, you put a worm on a hook and you throw it into the water.

Anyway, back to what I was saying.  I tried to fish, but I never caught anything.  Instead, my book caught me! (Sorry for the awful pun.)  But before I became involved in the world of mystery, I took quite a few pictures and even bribed my mom to take some of me!

The lake was lovely!  I was super surprised at how awe-inspiring it was.  I’m afraid I use that word too much but how do you describe that feeling you have when you see something and go, “Yeah, you certainly made it ‘very good'”?

There it is with the trees!
Hello, Mr. Egret!

I found this strange fluffy stuff, so I took a picture of it.  In my mind, the stranger the better, right?IMG_9456.JPG

Okay, today I went on a mission to find all the colorful leaves I could, and I think I did pretty well.  I went on and on how green things are and I think I’ve realized its only in our yard XD 😉

Can I consider this orange?
And this is yellow.

I spent a while on this picture of the fern.  I thought it was amazing how the separate leafy things were different colors.  Man, I can’t remember what those are called!  I’m going to have to get my botany book…

The clouds were so fluffy.  I just had to take pictures of them.  Who couldn’t?  I mean, it’s inspiration.  What if somebody wrote a story about living in cloud world?  Uh oh, I’m giving away ideas. 🙂

I had no idea my mom was taking these photos.  So, the lesson is never leave your camera in reach of your mother XD No, not really.  She did take some really good shots with editing.

Trying to improve my cast XD

Is it just me, or does this look like a crocodile smiling?  I saw it and had to take a picture, it was so cute!  Well, I’m not sure I’d call a crocodile cute but this portrayal of one is.fullsizeoutput_5919.jpeg

GUYS!!!! There was a BALD EAGLES nest there!!!!!! AND WE SAY THE EAGLE!!! but, I didn’t get any pictures of it 😦  I mean, the eagle, not the nest.  I even got a shot of a great blue heron on it. (proof down below)

Proof.  See, heron on a bald eagle’s nest.

This is sad, but it seems I always find a sad pile of feathers where ever I go.  These look like duck feathers 😦 (That’s an even sadder face Lol!) 😉IMG_9567.JPG

My brothers and Dad happened to catch fish though!  They were all big mouth bass, so my youngest brother was thrilled.  He’s always wanted to catch one of those big mouths.IMG_9562.JPG

Here are the pictures my mom took of me.  Comment down below which one you like best.  I’m going to use one for my About Me page but I’m not sure which.

Or C?

And finally, proof that I was there.  If you ever find a notebook, book (especially mystery or action and adventure), and camera case, Amie’s bound to be around there somewhere.IMG_9578.JPG

Okay, I have some thing to say.  If I get twenty-five subscribers, I’m going to do something fun.  This is a hint go tell your friends about my blog and get them to subscribe! If you haven’t subscribed and you’re reading this, I’ll give you ten seconds to subscribe.

10… I hope you subscribed!!!  If you did, please comment down below “I did it!!” and we’re now one person closer to twenty-five then we were before.  Stay tuned and keep watching, when I’ve got twenty-five, we’ll have some fun.
