I’m Back

The airwaves that have been silent for so long spark back to life as Amie sits down in her long neglected chair and lightly taps the mic.

Oh, it’s on.

clears her throat and smiles before beginning.

What’s up?! Been missing me?! Well, I’ve missed y’all…Too much. I shouldn’t be allowed to miss blogging as much as I have. I’ve missed interacting with y’all.

BUT I shan’t have to miss it anymore, for I am back! *cues fanfare* And ready to take on the world and all those who dwell in it.

(Not really, but you get the idea. 😉 )

So, you all wonder if I’ve been productive on my break? *laughs* No. But that’s a story for another post, and not for right now.

June has been hard. 

Not as bleak and painful as March and April, not as hopeful and balmy as May, just really hard. There were a lot of highlights, but a lot of time I spent unable to do much, due to my health.

It would have been hard for me to blog, and I’m very thankful I took this break. I needed the down time and the time to spend on my own personal needs. But yeah. I’m glad to be back, and I’m hopefully for an absolutely awesome July.

Y’all have been on your edge of your seats to hear from me, and honestly, it astonished me how many of y’all reached out and asked if everything was okay. I’m inspired to start shipping out blog posts again.

The first week was so hard, because I’m used to putting my thoughts on a document and sorting them out to make them into readable content. But then I guess I got used to thinking without writing. Which was a weird sensation. or maybe I didn’t think rationally the whole month. 

So, you’re ready to hear a bit about the month? Well. *rubs hands together* Ladies and gents, let’s begin.

Work on Crazy A

YO. I got this all done, and I’m so proud. *cries and pats myself on the back* You have no idea how many mini panic attacks I’ve had because of this, but you know, it’s so worth it all.

But that’s where the news comes in.

Crazy A has kinda? moved. I’m going to publish a few more posts on here…But I don’t know when. MOST of the action is going to be HERE. Go look and admire it, my friend. New everything. Even new profile pictures, which my mom did an AWESOME job taking.

I’m so excited. As much as I appreciate the red of my present design, this new design is definitely my dream design. And it just looks so much cleaner. I’m so happy. 😂 SO GO SUBSCRIBE. Because unfortunately, I’m not able to transfer my subscribers. *cries* Well, I COULD. I might. It cost money, though. So I haven’t decided if it’s worth it…

WRITING CONFERENCE

Oh my, it was amazing. If you follow my Youtube channel, *cough cough* you would already know a little bit about it. But it was superb to meet and hug so many friends, and then I learned A LOT about writing that I didn’t know I needed to learn, and I’m so ready for the next one. 😂

Music

Well, there’s a lot to gush about here. When I said I wanted to enjoy music again, God sat up in heaven and laughed. On June ninth, I had to play piano for the entire Sunday service at my church. Yes, it was nerve wracking, especially since I had one day to practice, but God was so good, and that is definitely one of my highlights from this month. I realized I have much more strength than I thought, and that coffee really does calm my nerves. 😂

Along with this, I was able to get my mandolin fixed. (Unfortunately it was injured by a flying book. That fell off my bookshelf. Because of a sword fight.) Also, I got another music book and a capo for my guitar, AND LASTLY. *drum roll*

I wrote a song. It’s stupid, nobody’ll ever read it, but it’s actually a first. I’ve told myself for the past year that I can’t write songs. And my piano teacher has said that I can, if I just believe in myself. And I DID.

So there, Mr. Doubt. I did it. *hair flip*

Gardening

We’ve started getting produce! But unfortunately…We bought bad seeds. And so half of our garden (my corn included 😭) is kinda…Dead. But cucumbers, beans, squash, peppers, and egg plant are trickling in.

The first half of June was rainy, and then I was sick, so gardening actually hasn’t been as much of me as my mom. She’s awesome like that, able to do everything. But anyway. Gardening is going strong. 😉

Welp! It’s going. I feel like it’s taken over my life, but it’s going. (Not much to say here. 😂)

Write a Book

Hah. My writing life was very quiet during June, unfortunately. THAT’S WHY I’VE JOINED CAMP NANO. *coughs* Because otherwise I’m afraid I won’t have as much motivation as I need. BUT AMIE’LL CONQUER.

Because that’s what she does. She’s an overcomer with the help of her Savior.

ANYWAY, that’s what I’ve been doing. I wrote a to-do list for June, and I only failed on three things. *cries* I hate failing.

The things I’m proudest of doing this month are writing a song, reading six books (so small amount, I know, but books have been putting me to sleep. XD), and writing (over) six poems.

The thing I’m saddest that I didn’t do is swim. I wanted to swim, but it was either raining, or I wasn’t feeling up to it. So yeah.
